NDP leader Avi Lewis announces additional critic roles

OTTAWA – Canada’s NDP Leader Avi Lewis has announced additional critic portfolios following Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie MP Alexandre Boulerice’s decision to enter Quebec politics.

“Alexandre was a champion for workers and the environment, and I know our phenomenal caucus members will carry on that work with passion and determination,” Lewis said. “We will hold this government to account for its attacks on workers’ rights, airport privatization plans, and neglect of the climate emergency, while offering real solutions to create good union jobs and slash our emissions at the same time.”

NDP MP Don Davies (Vancouver Kingsway) adds critic for Labour to his duties.

NDP MP Heather McPherson (Edmonton Strathcona) adds critic for Transport and Official Languages to her duties.

NDP MP Leah Gazan (Winnipeg Centre) adds critic for the Environment to her duties.

NDP MP Gord Johns (Courtenay—Alberni) adds critic for Climate Change & Coastal Protection to his duties.
